# Unified Post Editor

> Take a Rheos post from prompt to publish in the Unified Post Editor — pick a brand, choose an idea, refine copy, preview per platform and schedule.

The **Unified Post Editor** (UPE) takes a post from idea to published. It's a short
three-step flow: **start a post → pick an idea → edit and publish.**

## Step 1 — Start a new post

A new post opens on the **Start a new post** screen:

1. **Brand** — pick which brand this post belongs to.
2. **Platforms** — select the channels you're posting to (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook,
   X, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, YouTube, Threads).
3. **Formula** *(optional)* — **Pick intent**, then an optional hook formula. Skip it
   and Rheos picks an angle for you.
4. **Direction** — type what the post is about, then select **Continue**.

  In a hurry, or already know what you want to say? Select **or write manually** to skip
  straight to a blank editor.

## Step 2 — Pick an idea

Rheos drafts **three ideas** to start from. Each card shows its **intent** (e.g. Sell,
Provoke, Prove) and a hook label, with the **angle** — like *Pain point*, *Prediction*
or *Before/after* — under **More details**.

To steer the set, select an **intent chip** (Sell, Educate, Prove, Connect, Provoke,
Inspire, Announce, Entertain), add direction, and select **Regenerate**. Pick the idea you
like and select **Continue** to open it in the editor.

## Step 3 — The editor

The editor is one screen with everything in reach:

* **Platform tabs** (top-left) — one per connected platform; **+** adds another.
* **Status & tools** (top-right) — a live **Draft · saved** indicator, **attachments**,
  and **version history**.
* **Title** — name the post; select **Edit** to rename.
* **Body** — the caption. Type directly, or use **#** to add hashtags.
* **Attachments** — the image, carousel or video for the post. Select **Add more** to
  attach another asset from your device or Library, or generate one.
* **Save draft / Preview** (bottom) — save and come back later, or **Preview →** to
  check each platform and publish.

### Refining the text

Highlight any sentence in the body. A small popover appears — type a short instruction
and Rheos rewrites just that span:

* "Make this punchier"
* "Shorten by half"
* "Swap to UK English"
* "Add a stat about retention"

You can also edit the body directly — it's a full text editor.

### Adding and editing visuals

Use the **Attachments** panel to attach an image, carousel or video. **Add more** lets
you upload from your device, pull from your **Library**, or generate a new on-brand
visual — without leaving the post.

### Auto-save and version history

Drafts save automatically — the **Draft · saved** indicator confirms it. Close the tab
and come back; your work is still there. Open **version history** (the clock icon) to
roll back if a change makes things worse.

### Publishing

Each platform you've selected gets its own tab and preview. Rheos shows a live character
count and warns you when a caption is over the platform's limit. Common caps: X (280),
Bluesky (300), Instagram (2,200), LinkedIn (3,000). Rheos also warns you if a connection
needs reconnecting before you can publish.

Select **Preview →** to review every platform, then **Publish now** to post immediately or
**Schedule** to drop it onto the calendar.
